Privacy & Data
Your home data stays yours. You control what is enabled, stored, and deleted.
Privacy Promise
Your home data stays yours.
Stocked Up does not sell your household data, shopping habits, location data, product scans, meal history, inventory, recipes, or emergency preparedness data.
AI features are optional. Permissions are optional. You control what is enabled, what is stored, and what is deleted.
Permissions
AI Privacy Center
AI is optional. The app works fully without it. Only the minimum data needed for a single request is sent — never your full household history.
Local-Only Mode
Local-Only Mode keeps your household data on this device. Some live features may be limited.
When on: cloud sync is disabled, and external AI, live product search, local deals, weather and location lookups require your confirmation.
Household Data
All inventory, categories, shopping lists, scans, meals, market visits, predictions, weather preferences and emergency checklists are scoped to the active household and never shared with another household on this device.
- Admin — manage household, invite/remove members, change privacy settings, export and delete data.
- Member — add or edit inventory, scan products, manage shopping lists, log meals, use product search.
- Viewer — view only. Cannot edit, delete, scan, export or change settings.

External Services
API keys for product, AI, weather and location services are never exposed in the app. External calls go through secure backend functions when a service is connected. If a service is not connected, the app shows “API not connected yet.”
- Google Gemini (AI product recognition)
- Google Places (nearby stores)
- Weather provider (NWS / others)
- Retailer & product lookup APIs (UPCitemdb, Open Food Facts)
- Barcode lookup APIs

- They are never used to train AI or shared with advertisers.
- You can remove, replace or clear them at any time.
- Location is never tracked continuously or in the background.
- ZIP code or approximate location is preferred over GPS.
- Location is only refreshed when you open a related feature or tap refresh.
- You can clear location data any time.
